Not everyone is going to like you, or what you do.

And that is ok.

Sometimes "no" is exactly what we need to lean into in order to move forward.

I love Lynnette Allen. I own 4 of her books, and Earthed is one of my favorites. It reads like a deck of tarot cards. Open it up and let it speak to you... Take the message and let it simmer. The simplicity of doing that is is so welcome in my life right now.

Over the past 6 months, I have not only heard a fuck ton of no's, but I have also embraced saying no myself.

The no's are what got me to where I am today. A lot of tears and sadness. A lot of dark, darker, grim days. A lot of change. A lot of trust. A lot of love. And a lot of hugs. There are names I still cannot say without huge salty tears falling from my eyes. It all still brings deep sadness to my heart, to have such a huge level of respect and trust for a person and then learn that you are just a giant pile of disposable shit to them. It will probably always hurt, I suspect... and honestly I thought it was the greatest "fuck you" of all time. But I was wrong.

That one singular earth shattering NO has brought me so many wins, so many beautiful friends, so many new adventures, so much love, so much happiness, and it has been the best NO of my life, thus far. That no shifted everything. As much as that no was meant to hurt me, it has only made me stronger and happier and more successful.

And I am fucking THRIVING daily because of it.

And honestly, there is no greater or sweeter fuck you than that.

In the words of Maya Angelou:

And still, like air, I’ll rise.

Trusting the NO's of our life can not only be a great lesson, but they can also be the greatest gift of all time.

Sometimes we just need to hold on to see what the universe has instore for us. Embrace and trust the pathway before us, grab a bosom buddy to help hold you up and wipe your tears for you when you can't do it anymore, and make some delicious snacks for the journey forward.

That huge NO, might just save your life.

Or it might just make your life better than your wildest fucking dreams ❤️
